The San Diego Chargers are a professional football team in the Western Division of the American Football Conference in the National Football League. The club's first season of play was in 1960, and they play their first season in Los Angeles, California before they moved to San Diego in 1961. The San Diego Chargers play their home games at Qualcomm Stadium. They are the only team in Southern California.

Barron Hilton established the San Diego Chargers in 1959, and picked Frank Ready to be the general manager. He also set the pro football record of consecutive games with a reception, he had 96 games in a row with a reception in his career.

In 2007 Norv Turn led the Chargers to a win in the playoffs, the first time since 1994 when coach Bobby Ross led the San Diego Charges to the Super Bowl.
