And more...The Boston Bruins is the oldest United States based professional ice hockey National Hockey League (NHL) team at Boston. They were inducted into the league in 1924 as part of the first expansion outside of Canada. This arena also hosts "The Sports Museum of New England", with exhibits about the history of different sports in the Boston area. The Boston Bruins have won the Stanley Cup championship six times, the fourth highest record of all-time and second by an American NHL Team after the Red Wings' 11. After a long drought of championships, the Bruins won in 2011 again over Vancouver Canucks in seven games. The 2011 Boston Bruins victory will have a special place in Boston Sports History since all the other major pro-league teams won a championship in recent times at Boston including Celtics, Red Sox and Patriots.
