The team has had many strong players and over twenty of the Rangers have been inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. The team's coaches have also had an impressive record. In 2009, john Tortorella was named head coach of the Rangers, and he became the American-born coach with the most wins in NHL history. The Rangers are an important part of New York history. Their team has remained strong since being founded in the early 1900s, and they play a great game of hockey that draws fans from across the country to see the games.
